Ed Freeman Made the Famous IWO JIMA Flag Gay

IwoJima

Want to know who to blame for making the biggest insult of the US Marine Corps Flag and made it Gay.
Ed Freeman.  An image of Marines raising the U.S. flag over Iwo Jima that was changed to reflect the “gay” lifestyle with a rainbow banner has been making the social-media rounds in the days since the Supreme Court’s legalization of same-sex unions – and Twitter posters are in an uproar.
“Replacing the soldiers on Iwo Jima standing up the American flag with the gay pride flag is disrespectful,” wrote Mitchell Moyers, on Twitter.
Another commenter wrote, Breitbart found: “They really recreated the Iwo Jima flag with the gay flag. Just stop.”
And another, on the Washington Post’s Twitter page: “Yeah, where are the LGBT [volunteers] fighting IS launching their dear fellows from top of tall buildings?”
One more, on Breitbart said: “6821 people died in Iwo Jima, over 19,000 wounded. Apparently that ain’t nothing compared to gay people’s struggle huh.”
The original image came from photographer Joe Rosenthal on Feb. 23, 1945. Three of the Marines in the photo were killed in combat, along with the other nearly 7,000 U.S. servicemen who died in Iwo Jima. Another 20,000 U.S. troops were wounded.
The photographer of the altered gay rights image, Ed Freeman, created the photo a decade ago, but it’s been making waves since the court’s ruling on “gay” marriage. In recent days, he’s received hate mail and massive backlash on social media, he said, the Washington Post reported.
